We are delighted to announce the successful completion of the Christmas OPAC Book Search Activity, held today, 24 December 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, at the Dr. V.M.I Nambissan Memorial Library.✨
This event was graciously encouraged and kindly supported by Principal of ICEAS, Dr. Jalumedi Babu Sir, and our Honorable President of the IMPACT Group of Institutions, Dr. Alice Abraham Madam. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Management and the Principal for their continued support and motivation.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 50 members, including first-year students from all branches and several senior students. Among these, 20 members successfully completed the search challenge within the 1-minute time limit using the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC). Participants skillfully navigated the digital catalog and efficiently identified physical book locations.
The top three fastest searchers were awarded first, second, and third prizes, while all other participants received consolation prizes. The prizes were distributed by Dr. Mohammed Zia Ulla, Vice Principal of ICEAS, and Mrs. Meghaa Bhattar, Librarian (ICEAS), with the assistance of Mr. Ganesha M. and Mrs. Vijayalakshmi S., who joined in presenting the prizess. Additionally, Christmas cake was distributed to all participants, adding to the joyful spirit of the occasion.

This activity not only enhanced familiarity with digital library tools but also fostered a spirit of curiosity and collaborative learning within our engineering community.
