On August 6th, 2024, the IMPACT Groups of Institutions—comprising the IMPACT School of Architecture, IMPACT College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and the IMPACT Institute of Management Studies—organized a rally to commemorate “Vyasana Mukta Dinacharane” (Addiction-Free Day). The event, marked by strong student and faculty participation, aimed to raise awareness about living a life free from addictions.
The rally began at 3:00 PM from the IMPACT Campus Clocktower, featuring a street play on Drug Awareness that energized the crowd. Esteemed guests, including Dr. Alice Abraham, President of Impact Groups; Dr. Baby Mathula, Registrar; Ar. Sudhir Acharya, Director of Architecture; Dr. Sridharan. S, Director of IIMS; Dr. JalmeDi Babu, Principal of ICEAS; and Sub Inspector Lakshmi Kanth, delivered inspiring speeches. They highlighted the importance of healthy living and the pivotal role of educational institutions in promoting social causes.
The rally successfully concluded after participants marched to Kodigehalli Gate and back to ClockTower, emphasizing the institution’s commitment to fostering an addiction-free society. The event was a testament to the collective efforts of the Impact Groups of Institutions in raising awareness and driving positive social change.
