The IMPACT group was founded in 1980 based on the idea that India is a rich country inhabited by poor people, and the solution for her economic backwardness lies in the proper and effective use of her vast human resources. The challenge that India faces today is to create a skilled society that will meet the needs of the corporate world. The IMPACT Group has taken this idea forward by establishing institutions that contribute to the technical manpower of our country. The IMPACT Group of institutions that includes the IMPACT Polytechnic, IMPACT College of Engineering, IMPACT College of Applied Sciences, IMPACT College of Education, the IMPACT Schools, our students have been groomed to fill this gap of skilled manpower. The B.E degree program in Karnataka is among the pre-eminent undergraduate engineering programs in the country.The great engineer statesman, Sr M.Visveswaraiya led the erstwhile Mysore state in creating engineering marvels that are cherished even today. Since then,Karnataka has been innovating and working at the cutting edge of engineering education.<\/p>

Taking a closer look at engineering, we find that engineering system today are interdisciplinary in their construction and working. David Kearns,the former chief of the Xerox Corporations makes the following statement with respect to narrow specialization in education: \u201cThe only education that prepares for change is a general education. In period of change, narrow specialization condemns us to inflexibility- precisely what we do not need. we need the flexible intellectual tools to be problem solvers, to be able to continue learning over time\u201d<\/strong><\/em> And that\u2019s what we particularly offer at IMPACT- out student are trained so that they are comfortable with a wide set of ideas, across disciplines; they are encouraged to explore, experiment and build engineering systems.<\/p>

ISA is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, and offers Bachelor\u2019s degree in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI&ML), Automation and Robotics (AR), Civil Engineering (CV), Computer Science and Engineering (CS), Computer Science and Engineering- Data Science (DS), Computer Science and Engineering-Cyber Security, Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) Mechanical Engineering (ME) and Post Graduate degrees in Computer science and Engineering, Thermal Engineering and Master of Business Administration (MBA). There are two Research Centres where the Scholars pursue their Ph.D. program.

The academic environment at ISA is quite admirable, and there are many options for growth through professional organisations and clubs. These chances help each student show off their greatest abilities and provide them the chance to follow their passions and interests. These exercises emphasise how each of our student is developing in terms of personality and character.
